Funding

Funding is one of the main issues when it comes to implementing the SNAP.

Despite that the PNG Government endorsed the Plan and planned for a budget of 3 million Kina to be used for its implementation, for the last two years, no money has been formally allocated from the central government.

The few projects that are running are mainly funded by Australian Aid and, in some cases, independent donors and individual contributions. This makes the activities planned to progress very slowly and hinders the ability of the Committee to tackle the problem from a holistic perspective.

Please, contact us if you wish to contribute to any of the activities that the Committee is currently undertaking.
